GET THE LOOK: GIRL, LIBERTY!

 

For Resort ‘21 , our hair and makeup look was all about letting go, having fun, and playing with colours and textures.

Senior Artist from M.A.C Cosmetics, Carol Mackie and Wella EIMI’s Guest Artist, Keiren Street give us the steps and tips on how to get the looks.

SKIN

1.Hydrate, moisturise and prep the skin by spritzing the face with Prep & Prime Magic Radiance and massage into the skin.

2.Apply Complete Comfort Cream using Brush #170, starting at the centre of the face and blend out and down the neck.

3.Apply Studio Fix Spf15+ Fluid Foundation using the #170Brush for a soft, natural and matte finish.

4.Use the same foundation as a concealer – tap this on the areas where you need a little more coverage.

5.Finish the skin off and add a bit of warmth with the Glow Play Blush in the shade Cheer Up.


EYES

1.Using the #217 Brush, apply Eyeshadow in shade Triennial Wave over the whole lid, darkening it slightly through the inner and outer corners.

LIPS

1. Apply Prep and Prime Lip Primer on to the lips before tapping on the Satin Lipstick in Sushi Kiss.

1.Prep the hair with a light mist of SP Reverse.

2.Layer EIMI Body Crafter using a large round brush and blow up for maximum volume.

3.Section the hair in to a pie (from ear to ear and forehead to nape).

4.Take small sections and mist each with EIMI Mistify Me Light Hairspray. Then using your small tong, wind away from face, heat and secure with a clip or bobby pin. Continue this throughout the head until all your hair is curled. Allow to cool.

5.Once cooled, remove all the clips.

6.Throw your head upside down and mist with EIMI Glam Mist.

7.Flip back and apply a liberal dose of EIMI Dry Me to add extra volume and texture.

8.A light spray with Mistify Me Light to finish off the ‘70s glam.

SKIN

1.Hydrate, moisturise and prep the skin by spritzing the face with Prep & Prime Magic Radiance and massage into the skin.

2.Apply Complete Comfort Cream using Brush #170, starting at the centre of the face and blend out and down the neck.

3.Apply Face and Body Foundation, again starting at the centre of the face and blending out and down for natural, radiant and glowing skin.

4.Conceal where needed with the Studio Fix 24 Hour Smooth Wear Concealer.

5.Powder through the centre of the face using Mineralize Skin Finish Pressed Powder.

6.Light up the cheekbones with the Hyper Real Glow Palette in Get Lit.

7.Add a flush of colour to the cheeks with Glow Play Blush in No Shame.

EYES

1.Sweep Eyeshadow in Humblebragover the entire lid using a #217 Brush.

2.Apply Extended Play Lash Mascara to lashes and for added drama, try a few individual lashes using #30 Lashes.

3.Load up the mascara for a cool, clumpy, lower lash effect.

LIPS

1. Apply Prep and Prime Lustre Lipstick in See Sheerusing #316 Brush. Finish with Lipglass Clear for super shine.

1.Prep the hair with EIMI Perfect Setting and EIMI Body Crafter. Flip your head over and blow dry upside down to create maximum volume.

2.Divine your hair in to four sections and mist with Mistify Me Light.

3.Starting at the back, plait your hair in to a few sections and repeat until all your hair is plaited and secured on the ends. The smaller the section you plait, the more volume your hair will have.

4.Run your GHD iron over each plait a few times, ensuring the heat gets in to each section.

5.Allow to cool. This is a good opportunity to choose what alice McCALL look you’re going to pair with this hairstyle.

6.Undo each plaited section and mist with Mistify Me Light Hairspray.

7.Once all your sections are released, throw your head over and spray generously with Dry Me. Flip back over, and detail with Glam Mist for extra shine.

8.For extra sass, use a small tong at the root area just around your face. This will give you a little something extra.
